It comes with a plug-in microphone, a single earbud, and a folding headphone, so the listener can pick what feels comfortable. A volume dial and a three-setting tone control turn voices up by roughly 40 decibels and make speech sound crisper. Two AAA batteries (included) last up to 200 hours, and a red light flashes when they run low. It works with or without hearing aids, including telecoil hearing aids with a neckloop.
